Welcome to our little corner of the globe.
Polka Freak Out is a unique project combines the
illustrious wizardry of master accordionist Alex Meixner
with the solid, rockin’ bass grooves and rich booming
baritone vocals of Bubba Hernandez. Together they combine
elements of polka traditions from around the world including,
but not limited to, Slovenian, Austrian, Polish, Mariachi, and
Serbian styles; on top of a Tex-Mex rhythm section and
enveloped in a pop/rock aesthetic to produce a blend that is
both powerfully energetic and remarkably beautiful. A
blending that is familiar, but different: like two old cousins
meeting for the first time, and the glorious party that ensues.
